# Deleting your data

Zapvo has no user accounts. Almost all of your data is on your device, so you can delete it yourself at any time.

## 1. In the app

Open **Settings › About and legal › Delete my data**. This deletes from the device:

- •your sources and their passwords,
- •the loaded channel, movie and series lists and the program guide,
- •profiles, favorites, watch history, followed series and reminders,
- •parental control settings, settings, and the list of phones that may control your TV.

If the device is in a sync group, you can choose to delete the group's encrypted data from our server as well. Your other devices then stop syncing; their own data stays on them.

Uninstalling the app also deletes everything stored on the device.

## 2. What remains, and why

- •**Trial record:** to keep the free trial to one per device, our server keeps a one-way code derived from your device (it cannot be traced back to you by itself) with the trial dates, for 24 months after the device was last seen. Deleting your data does not start a new trial. This is based on our legitimate interest in preventing abuse.
- •**Purchases:** Google keeps your purchase history in your Google account. Our server keeps a hash of the purchase token for 24 months after the purchase ended, so that restoring purchases works.
- •**Sync data you did not delete:** an encrypted sync group nobody syncs for 12 months is deleted automatically.

## 3. By e-mail

If you no longer have the app or the device, write to support@zapvo.app. Because we hold no names, e-mail addresses or readable data, we usually cannot link stored codes to a person; we will explain what we can do in your case and answer within 30 days.
