The basics

Does Zapvo come with channels?

No. Zapvo is a media player only. It doesn't provide or sell any channels, playlists or other content. You need your own playlist or account from a provider you're allowed to use. No playlist yet? Try our demo playlist.

Which playlists does Zapvo support?

M3U and M3U8 playlists from a link or a file, Xtream Codes accounts (server, user name and password) and Stalker portals (MAC address), plus XMLTV program guides. You can add several sources and switch between them.

Which devices does Zapvo run on?

Android phones and tablets, Android TV and Google TV: smart TVs, streaming players like the Google TV Streamer, and Android TV boxes, all with Android 7.0 or later. Zapvo isn't available for iPhone, iPad, Windows, Mac, Roku, Apple TV, or Samsung and LG's own TV systems.

Which languages does Zapvo speak?

44 languages, including right-to-left Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Urdu. Zapvo follows your device's language, and you can change it any time in the settings.

Is IPTV legal?

IPTV is simply TV over the internet, and many licensed TV operators use it. What matters is whether the provider has the rights to what it offers. Zapvo is only the player; please use it with legal sources. Read more.

Playlists and the guide

My program guide is empty. What can I do?

Many playlists name their guide, and Zapvo loads it by itself. If yours doesn't, ask your provider for an XMLTV (EPG) address and add it to the source. If programs are an hour off, the guide uses another time zone. See the troubleshooting guide.

Can I watch programs that already aired?

Yes, when your provider keeps an archive (catch-up). Channels with an archive show an Archive badge, and past programs in the guide play with one press. It works with Xtream Codes, M3U catch-up attributes and Stalker portals.

Can Zapvo handle a very large playlist?

Yes. Zapvo is built for big lists. In our tests, an Android 7.1 TV box with 1 GB of memory imported 100,000 channels, movies and episodes in about 4.5 seconds, and lists with over 50,000 channels scroll smoothly.

How many channels can I watch at once?

With Multiview, up to four live channels on a TV or tablet and two on a phone, as far as your device can decode them. You hear the window you pick.

Phone and TV

Can I use my phone as a remote?

Yes. On the same Wi-Fi, scan the code on the TV: a remote with a keyboard opens in your phone's browser, no app needed. With the Zapvo app on the phone you can also send channels to the TV. From another home, connect with a one-time code. How it works.

Does Zapvo work with Chromecast?

Yes, Zapvo can cast supported streams from your phone to a Chromecast or Google TV. Some live streams (raw TS) can't play on a Chromecast; if Zapvo is installed on the TV, use Play on TV instead.
